Robert Lee “The Ballad of Bruce Lee”

Wednesday, February 3rd, 2010

This Wacky Wednesday song comes from Bruce Lee’s younger brother, Robert. The album came out in 1975 and is titled Robert Lee Sings The Ballad Of Bruce Lee. The song “The Ballad of Bruce Lee” is one of the few songs that Robert wrote on the album. Robert sings other songs written by Keith Barbour and Flemming Rasmussen and the album also features him covering The Beattles song “This Boy”.

Stevie Wonder Vs. Michael Jackson

Friday, December 28th, 2007

In the first post of Vs. we have a Stevie Wonder Vs. Michael Jackson battle. This one isn’t a fair fight though, I mean its Stevie’s song and he BRINGS it. But maybe you like little Mikey’s version. The song is “I Was Made to Love Her”. It was a popular single for Stevie from his 1967 album with the same title. But the version I’m sharing with you is Wonder doing the song live on Talk of the Town (1970). It starts pretty normal but the more Stevie gets into it the better it gets. The Jackson 5 also did a version of “I Was Made to Love Her” on their 1975 album Anthology. Although looking at Amazon.com its not on the CD reissue of the album. But it did make it on other Jackson 5 compilations. It’s not bad and worth a listen but in my opinion it can’t compete with Stevie’s version.
